I find that the mind can settle into a strange rhythm when surrounded by the constant noise and movement of a city at night. Whilst writing this piece, I was thinking about how sudden bursts of sound and light can snap us out of a daze. Vehicles rushing past, gusts of air against us and the harsh glare of headlights can jolt us back to the present with a heightened sense of awareness.
The sound world grew from the rumbles of engines and the feeling of light flooding the darkness, anchoring you through the noise. The piece drifts between hypnotic states and moments of lucidity, with grainy, industrial pulses shaping a journey that becomes stranger the further you go.
