Manchester Collective is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring all of your personal information is safe and secure. This privacy policy outlines how we will use, maintain and disclose data collected from users of our website.

Your data

You have the right to opt out of any communications, or to ask that your details are removed from any or all of our databases at any time (except for information about transactions which will be held to meet our legal obligations). To do so, please click the unsubscribe link in any email, call us, or email info@manchestercollective.co.uk to update your preferences.

Where we sell tickets for our events directly, this is through our online Box Office which is managed using Eventbrite. All orders made through our website or direct on the Eventbrite platform will be processed by their systems. Please note we don’t have access to or hold any information relating to your payment details.

If you sign up to our email newsletter, your details will be held by MailChimp. MailChimp’s servers are based in the USA, but the company is signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

If you make a donation to Manchester Collective, your details will be held by Donorbox, and processed through Stripe. Both companies are signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework. Your details will also be held by the Manchester Collective development team, however, you have the right to opt out of communication and ask to have your details deleted at any time.

The information we collect

We may collect, store and use the following types of personal data:

  • Information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website, such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views. This information does not identify any individual user.

  • Details of any transactions you have made when booking tickets or making a purchase through our website.

  • Information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our newsletter, online channels, or other services we offer.

  • Any other information that you choose to send to us.

How we use your data

We use your data to fulfil orders or services you’ve requested, for analytical purposes, and always in accordance with relevant data laws. These uses include:

  • To provide you with tickets and services that you have requested.

  • To manage and improve our website and online channels.

  • To help us learn more about our visitors’ interests and preferences.

  • To deal with enquiries and requests.

  • To invite you to attend events, update you with news and fundraising appeals.

  • To show you relevant adverts about upcoming events or initiatives.

  • In some cases, we may use your data to carry out initial research to estimate your capacity or inclination to offer philanthropic support to Manchester Collective. This research will be conducted in-house using publicly available resources such as Companies House, LinkedIn and 192.com. In some cases we may work with credible, trusted third-party organisations such as Prospecting for Gold.

We never share your personal data with external parties, unless you’ve explicitly agreed to it; for example, by signing up to the mailing list of an event partner when booking with us.
